Props and Tournament bets for the Masters
Our Top Shelf plays for the Masters. Props, groups, tournament finishes, and more.
Scottie Scheffler
1st Round Top 10 +250
Top 10 +175
Top 5 +300
He showed up big time in all the majors last year. We don't have an outright on him unfortunately for the Masters, though we did bet him for the PGA. Last year he went T18 at the Masters, T8 at the PGA, T7 at the US Open, and T8 at the Open. He is a player who is always ready for the majors and is the hottest golfer on tour right now. We think he will definitely have a strong Masters from start to finish, so we bet him 1st round top 10, top 10 overall, and top 5.
Dustin Johnson -135 vs Jordan Spieth
This is usually one of Jordan Spieth's favorite places to play and he has tremendous history here at Augusta. But ever since his collapse at Pebble earlier this year he has really been on a slide. He hasn't regained any sort of form since then and even on the Texas swing, where he usually plays really well, he very very much out of sorts. Meanwhile DJ is quietly rounding into form and has shown consistent improvement over the past few months. We like him against Jordan this week at -135 or better.
Corey Conners
Top Canadian +125
Conners has a good history here at Augusta, her finished T8 here last year. He is in good form as well, he was 3rd in the Match Play event two weeks ago and finished T11 at the Arnold Palmer invitational. He's 6th in strokes gained off the tee which is key at Augusta and he is 3rd in Greens hit in Regulation which is also important here. He has to beat his countryman Makenzie Hughes and Mike Weir. Weir really isn't a threat at his age and Hughes, although he has the potential to play really hasn't shown anything yet so far this year. He's been cut in 3 of his last 5 events and has been really shaky, he is 154th in SG off the tee and 111th in strokes gained approach. He can really putt when he gets it going but Augusta is a course that you need to be able to put yourself in the right spots which we think he will struggle to do. We like this bet all the way down to even money on Conners.
Shane Lowry
Top 20 +145
Lowry has finished top 20 or better in his last 3 tournaments not counting the Dell Match Play event. He is in great form and really seems to shine on tough golf courses. He's 11th on tour in SG approach and 7th in scrambling. With the weather forecast calling for high winds we think this also plays into his hands. He has consistently played well in the wind and being from Ireland certainly has prepared him for success in this regard. He is another player who has consistently performed very well in the Majors, he has finished T25 and T21 in his last 2 Masters so we think he can break through and crack the top 20 this year. We also bet him outright at 125/1 so we could see him make a run at this thing too.
