Super Bowl and NFC Futures
Written by Travis Gillmore
Rams are poised to make a lot of noise in the NFC. We think they are worth a futures play for the Conference and the Super Bowl.
Losing Akers definitely was ideal and already holding a Rams Super Bowl ticket it was even more unfortunate. But finding a replacement running back shouldn't be too difficult and this is a team only 3 years removed from a Super Bowl appearance in McVay's first season. McVay will be able to get the best out of Stafford should easily integrate him into their system. Akers going down has at least slowed the flow of bets on the Rams which is great news value wise. The time to bet the Rams in now before the season starts and people see really how good this team is.
The defensive will be solid led by Donald, Floyd, and Ramsey. They also have Darius Williams who is very good and Taylor Rapp who has high upside. The way they rush the passer and push the middle of the pocket they will be a force to recon with no matter who they play. Their defense also matches up well other teams in the division. Seattle's O-line should struggle against them and they should give Kyler Murray fits. San Francisco is a bit of a problem in the division but tough to know exactly what you're gonna get from them. Even if they split with every team in the division they have enough easy games outside of the division to finish with a strong record.
Circa has the Rams at 20/1 for the Super Bowl and 8/1 for the Conference. We think those are both valuable plays and would jump on those numbers right away.
